Travel through human history on an 8-hour tour of Évora and Almendres's Cromlech. Discover hidden gems from the Stone Age, the Roman era, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

Explore the history of Portugal on a tour of Évora and the megaliths of the Cromleque dos Almendres. After being picked up from your hotel in Lisbon, head to Évora, the historic capital of Alentejo.
Start your day with a tour of Almendres's Cromlech. Older than Stonehenge, this megalithic complex reveals some of the secrets of ancient civilizations and their knowledge of astronomy. Admire the circle of stones, mysteriously aligned with the sun and the stars.
Then, explore the UNESCO-listed city center of Évora. See the remains from Roman to Renaissance times. Visit the Temple of Diana and learn how cork is extracted from cork oaks.

Visit the medieval cathedral of Évora and climb to the roof to admire the golden plains that surround the city. Continue to the Renaissance Church of San Francesco to see the Chapel of Bones, covered with human skulls and bones.

On the way back we will stop to visit the Interpretative Center for the famous carpets of Arraiolos. After 8 hours of touring we will return to Lisbon.
